Robert "Bob" Brown grew up in Old Bridge (Middlesex County) New Jersey after being born in New York City. He later joined the Old Bridge Police Department while still attending college and served as a police officer with that Department for 13 years until retiring due to a line-of-duty injury.

Back in 1981, then police officer Brown responded to a police call at a Township apartment complex. A man came out from his apartment with a rifle and began shooting, striking Brown in both the right hand and shoulder. Police Officer Brown returned gun fire and killed his assailant that was still shooting at him.

As a result of that shooting incident, Police Officer Brown received numerous awards and citations for bravery and service beyond the call of duty including those from the: New Jersey State Senate and State Assembly, Middlesex County 200 Club (Blue Badge), New Jersey State PBA Gold Valor Award.

After the shooting incident, Robert Brown continued with both his undergraduate and graduate school studies. He later graduated from Seton Hall University Law School (Newark, N.J.) in 1988 and became a member of the New Jersey State and Federal Bar.

Robert Brown is now a retired life member of the Old Bridge PBA Local 127 after serving as its President and Vice-President. He is also a life member of Local 9 (Middlesex & Monmouth) of the New Jersey State Retired Police and Firemen's Association, www.njrpfa.org. In 1995, Robert Brown was voted into membership of the New Jersey Police Honor Legion and is now a life member, www.njhl.com.

As an attorney, he has represented numerous clients with the toughest of charges against them in both the Municipal and Superior Courts. His work on those tough cases has provided successful results that have allowed his clients to continue their lives and careers as police officers, firemen, teachers, attorneys and soldiers as well as in the fields of construction, banking and real estate. Those satisfied clients continue to refer to their family, friends and neighbors the name of Robert Brown, as the attorney to represent them in times of unfortunate situations.

With his other notated work through the years in New Jersey with disabled public employees; he was selected to become a member of the Lawyers Referral Panel of the National Pension Lawyers Network, University of Massachusetts-Boston, www.pensionrights.org/.

As an attorney, Robert Brown finds the time to volunteer as a member of the "Wounded Police Officers Support Group" administered by the New Jersey COP2COP program. He is also a recurring and interesting speaker on such topics involving Criminal Law, Police Work and Disability Laws. He has also written and published articles on both Federal and New Jersey Tax Laws involving active and retired police officers as well as the many benefit programs available to those injured in the line-of-duty.

Robert Brown has also appeared on Cablevision "Law on the Line", "News12" and "Power & Politics", CNBC "Money Club", New Jersey 101.5FM Radio "Jim Gearhart Show", AM970 Radio "The Grinder Show" and "Your World Uncensored".
